I acquired a utility called Mac Cleanup Pro on my Mac, which caused messages to pop up saying that I had numerous issues which could be cleaned up, call 0800 031 5842 for help. So I called, guy with an Indian accent answered and asked to take control of my PC so that he could support me. Obviously a scam so I hung up. I called Apple support and they directed me to a utility called Malwarebytes, which successfully got rid of Mac Cleanup Pro. By the way, the malware had arrived when I foolishly downloaded something claiming to be an upgrade to AdobeFlashInstaller. If you see this, don't touch it, that's where the trouble starts !
virus on my computer mac keeps popping up saying i have loads on issues that need to be cleaned
Claimed to be BT and that my internet will be terminated today due to illegal activity being carried out by hackers. Hung up when I said I would call back later, rather than agreeing to a time for him or his 'colleagues' to call me back.
saying i have a virus on my pc.

Sky Maintenance Team ..
Thought I was on a legitimate site when trying to update my Garmin, asked basic info and said would call on my mobile. Called about ten minutes later and asked to log on remotely to check the problem, like an idiot I let them, got suspicious when they said I had no fire wall and wanted me to purchase one. Got really suspicious when they wanted me to pay for it by direct debit. I now have to find an independent technician to go through my laptop. Will be changing all my passwords as soon as I have had the laptop checked. Will not be using my laptop until that is sorted.
This was probably a cloned number. Pre recorded spam call. "This is the Internet service provider. We are going to disconnect your internet connection within 24 hours. Please press 1 to be connected to a technician" DO NOT PRESS ANYTHING!!! Hang up and report the number.
Pre recorded spam call "This is BT Internet Technical Department" "We are going to disconnect your internet connection in 5 minutes" "To speak to a technician press 1. If you wish to disconnect your internet press 2" DO NOT PRESS ANYTHING!!! Hang up and report the numbe

This was probably a cloned number. Pre recorded call asking to press 1 to connect with an advisor who will change your internet user number because they have detected Internet fraud. The real Internet providers do NOT contact you like this. I strongly recommend you DO NOT RESPOND to this!
The person claimed there was a fault on my talk talk internet router only I had left talk talk a few months prior! They then told me they were technical engineers and could still assist me with the problem - even though there was no problem! They then told me I’d need my laptop - to which I then asked him for his name, extension number etc. I said I’d call him back. Needless to say the number was out of service and there was a message saying that Action Fraud were aware that the number has been used for fraudulent use and was suspended! Btw they never called from the above number just gave it as a contact number - just wanted people to be aware of the scam! I guess they wanted me to get out my laptop so they could hack into it I guess
This number came up my husbands computer, we checked the number on my laptop and found all the complaints scams about it. Thank you to all those who also reported it and saved us getting into more trouble.
American accent. "BT about to terminate internet connection" "press key 2 to discuss" obviously a high charge for continuing the call.
The call came 4 mins after an identical scam call saying exactly the same and claiming to need router details due to internet service issue.
Scam call claiming to need router detail as internet issue. Then moments later very same call from a different number. Complete scam.
